Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information alvillas collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers villa owners who contact us, owners whose properties we manage, and guests who stay in them.

Who we are

alvillas is a villa management company operating in Morocco. For the purposes of data protection law we are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you, run your villa, or host a stay.

Owner enquiries: name, email or WhatsApp number, villa location, plan of interest, and anything you write in the message field.

Managed owners: identity documents, proof of ownership or lease, bank details for payouts, tax registration details, and property access information.

Guests: name, contact details, party size, stay dates, and any concierge requests. Payment is taken by the booking platform or the payment provider, not by us.

Website use: basic analytics such as pages viewed and approximate region. We do not use advertising trackers.

Why we collect it

Each category has a purpose and a legal basis.

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal. Basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

To perform the management agreement: bookings, cleaning, maintenance, reporting and payouts. Basis: contract.

To meet legal duties such as tourist-tax declarations, accounting and identity checks. Basis: legal obligation.

To improve the service and keep our systems secure. Basis: legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

Booking platforms, where your villa is listed, for the bookings they generate.

Vetted suppliers who deliver a service you or your guests asked for, limited to what they need to do the job.

Our accountants, and the authorities where the law requires it.

Software providers who host our systems under written data-processing terms.

Where it is stored

[Placeholder: name hosting providers and the countries in which data is stored.] Where data leaves Morocco, transfers are made under appropriate safeguards and, where required, with prior CNDP authorisation.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become contracts are deleted after twenty-four months. Records relating to a management agreement are kept for the duration of the agreement and then for the period required by Moroccan accounting and tax law. Guest records are kept for the period required for tourist-tax and legal purposes, then deleted.

Your rights

You may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or limit how we use it. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where we relied on it.

Write to hello@alvillas.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the CNDP.

Cookies

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be notified to managed owners directly.
